# Discord Rules

### Banned Words

Below is a list of blacklisted words and will not be tolerated when being used in a disruptive behavior within the Discord server. This includes text and voice channels.

* N-word
* R-word or other offensive words ending in “-tard.”
* Special depending on the context.

***

### Promotion of Any Sort Is Not Allowed

Poaching also falls under this rule and is normally followed by a permanent ban with no appeal.

* Includes but is not limited to: Discord servers, streams and other RedM servers.
* Advertising of any form such as DM, Status, etc. is not allowed.
* Mentioning that you are a content creator is allowed and you are welcome to share any CorePixel related content.

***

### Follow Channel-Specific Rules

Channels have rules in the topic or pinned messages, make sure to give them a read.

***

### Tickets Over Direct Messages

Rather than contacting a member of staff directly, create a support ticket in discord.

***

### Stay on Topic

Please keep your conversations relevant to the topic the channel is for and remember to read the channel descriptions.

***

Voice Channel use when on RedM

You cannot use any voice channels when connected to the RedM server, even if you are muted. The only exception is if you are in a support channel with a support team member.

You are not allowed to screen-share in a voice channel when other people are present and in the server.

***

### Listen to Staff

Admins & Discord Moderators enforce the rules and take appropriate action where required, ranging from a warning to a permanent ban depending on severity. Please listen to their directions.

No backseat moderating. Mentioning a rule is allowed, but do not tell people how to behave.

If you have feedback about staff or their actions, the only appropriate way to express it is by creating a ticket, where the Managers can review it.

***

### Important Notes

These rules are not exhaustive. Using loopholes to violate the spirit of these rules is subject to enforcement.

We respect your privacy and do not disclose your warnings publicly, but we expect the same from you. Do not mention moderation actions taken against you or other users on the server. If you have questions or objections, please contact us through our ticket system instead.

If you received a warning from either a manager or an admin – it normally is not a big deal. It simply means that you took things too far in this instance or that you broke a rule. In most cases, only repeated rule violations result in a mute and subsequent ban.

Ban or mute evasion (i.e. using an alt) will result in a permanent ban.

***

### Moderation System

By joining the Discord server, you agree to all our outlined rules.

We use a strike-based moderation system - if you break the rules, you'll get one or more strikes up to a total of 4, which will result in a ban from the Discord server.

We reserve the right to take measures against your RedM account if you bring issues from Discord into our other platforms or you use them to circumvent the server rules.

Staff will use their judgment when dealing with disruptive behavior.
