# Fail Roleplay

### Fail RP

Fail roleplay, FailRP, or FRP can be anything regarding an extremely unrealistic situation that is used in the game to gain an advantage or intentionally disrupting the roleplay by trolling. This rule is meant to be used with common sense. Would your character do this in real life? Does it match with your character’s story line?

Examples of FailRP would be:

* Illegal activities in or around any sheriff station
* Roleplaying your injuries incorrectly. I.e.: You were shot by a shotgun, but claim that you tripped over a bench.
* Fake hostages (using friends or approaching someone and asking them to be a hostage for a scenario).
* Injecting: Disrupting a scene that is already ongoing without being involved by a scene participant, especially in a manner that interferes with the outcome or progression of the RP.
* The usage of teleporters to gain an advantage during a scene. Such as jumping in and out of a house during a shootout or using a building teleporter to evade.
* Being part of a scene but refusing to roleplay with the players involved in the scene.
* Not reacting to a group with guns pointing at you, acting in an unrealistic way based on the scene that is currently ongoing.

### Metagaming

MetaGaming is retrieving or/and mixing OOC information with IC information to put you or others at an advantage. Even if it does not put you at an advantage, mixing OOC with IC is considered Meta-Gaming. Only use information you received In-Character.

Stream sniping (using someone’s live stream to find their location to interact in any way) is considered metagaming and is punishable as such. Any live streaming source outside of the game world is covered by this, so don’t do it.

If you have [multiple characters](broken://pages/6sECl6BFErHzKPDLBEcA#secondary-characters) you cannot use the knowledge gained across the two.

This also includes using [External Voice Platforms](broken://pages/Jpik5Onb4voMSFYgSxtX#external-voice-platforms).

### Powergaming

Powergaming is forcing roleplay on another player without giving him or her the option to dictate their own fate. In RP, both parties must be able to decide how their characters will respond to something. This can include the removal of communication devices, theft of non-monetary items on someone’s person, or even kidnapping.

Examples of Powergaming would be:

* Ryan Wolfe slips his hand into the man's pocket in front of him and steals his money, keys and phone. (This is forcing the RP).
* Austin Craw jumps off the cliff, lands on both legs and resumes his run. (it's an unrealistic act). Never being injured and ignoring realistic injury outcomes.
* Sprinting/Fighting as soon as you leave the hospital, or are revived by medics.
* Roleplaying you have unrealistic superpowers.
* Excessive use of lasso's or hogties.

### Voice Identifying Someone

You are not allowed to recognise or distinguish a civilian by just using their voice alone if they are masked up or are using a disguise. They must have distinguishable features on show for you to be able to make a positive ID.

If you hear someones voice from a shout/riding radius you can't ID them as they could be masked up or playing a secondary character.

### Random Deathmatch (RDM) / Deathmatch (DM)

RDM is not allowed. RDM is defined as killing/injuring/hogtying a player/NPC with little to no interaction.

Initiation is required to engage in combat with another player. When initiating, you must make the player aware of your intent. To initiate you must be AT LEAST within shout voice range, and you must allow the other person to respond to your roleplay with words or actions. A player may not be engaged in a menu or animation for proper initiation to occur.

### Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

VDM is the act of harming someone using a vehicle/wagon/boat.

Driving over someone with the intent to do violence against another player/NPC is strictly prohibited.

There are two exceptions to this rule:

* If you are fleeing a dangerous scene, and one of your attackers steps in front of your vehicle and you have no other choice but to run over the person attacking you.
* If an accident does occur, roleplaying out the scene properly will negate the rulebreak.

### Value Your Life (NVL)

NVL or No Value of Life is a failure to value your life, from a character’s point of view they only have one life and must value their life. Use common sense when in situations and always value your life. This does not mean that a "brave" character can ignore a gun pointed at them.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of examples of this rule break:

* Blatantly not fearing for your life.
* Committing a violent act against a group that has you outnumbered and has already shown their intent to do harm.
* Using a method of communication to call for help when you are already held against your will.
* Fleeing when surrounded by a group that has communicated that they will do harm, including law enforcement that have escalated to lethal force.
* Jumping from a fatal height to flee.

### Combat Logging

Combat logging is exiting your game in any fashion to avoid RP. Combat logging comes in many forms, but examples are listed below:

* Exiting the server because you lost a gun fight.
* Exiting the server to avoid legal charges.
* Exiting the server or respawning during an active scene.

NOTE: You should report any crashes/disconnects on discord. A post with your crash message and time stamp will help in cases of reported combat logging.

### Com Serve Porting

Escorting anyone while being sent to community service to cause them to teleport with you is not allowed.

### Banned/Forbidden Types of Roleplay

Suicide, Rape and Sexual Assault are forbidden roleplay scenarios and are to never be performed within our city. Depending on the severity you will either be temporarily or permanently banned.

### Whitelist Job Sabotage

Whitelist job sabotage is when someone in a whitelisted job such as doctors, law or DOJ intentionally breaks SOPs consistently to put the department in negative light or disrupt the server.

We understand mistakes happen and that can be handled in RP however if we get a number of complaints from players or employees in the whitelisted job of consistent breaking of the SOPs then a 24 hour ban may be issued along with being removed from the whitelisted job.
