# Your Character

### Character Name

* Your name in the game must respect the form "Firstname Lastname" and not include word games.
* Your name must NOT include numbers or special characters like brackets/symbols.
* Your name must NOT impersonate any community member's real name, other character within the community, celebrities and well known fictional characters.
* If your name fails to meet these requirements, then we will request you to change this, failure to follow, we will manually force a name change or face being removed from the community.

### Character Clothing

All character clothing should be appropriate and have no invisible limbs, items of clothing or contain minimal nudity. They must also be colour appropriate to the time period.

All clothing resources for the law/doctors can be found in the store. You are allowed to wear parts of a clothing set however wearing a full uniform would be seen as impersonation which will end with you getting arrested.

### Secondary Character's

If you have multiple characters then you must treat them as if they are just like any new player to the server. You can not use things learned whilst playing as your main character.

Your characters cannot know each other since they have never met. This means you cannot talk on behalf of, relay messages between or tell stories about your other characters.

### Permanent Death Abuse

Choosing to permanent death a.k.a perma your character should not be taken lightly. This action is NOT reversible!

You are NOT allowed to transfer your characters belonging/money to another one of your characters or another player without a legitimate reason. Because you want to start again, change names, don't want a criminal record or leaving the community are not valid reasons

If you are caught giving away or transferring items/money then we will remove the items/money and issue a ban to all involved.

### New Life Rule (NLR)

When you get rescued by a local doctor (If you "respawn" by going back to the shelter), your character will remember the situation however you must be a good player and accept defeat and keep playing without wanting revenge. Do not return to the scene after your death since the scene is surely not over. Wait for the scene to finish or do something else, but do not intervene in any way in the scene where you were downed (whether to shoot, investigate, transport people etc.).

The NLR rule does not apply if you have been saved by player doctors but you must have a minimum of realism: you can not get up after being shot by a rifle while you were wearing body armor as if nothing had happened and attack directly. This can be sanctioned for powergaming.

You may not respawn if you've been advised that law or doctors are on the way to your scene.

### Switch Characters

You cannot switch characters purposely so you or your friends can hit robberies or carry out any other criminal activity.

If you are playing as a criminal or cop then stay on that character.

### Going Out of Character

You should remain in character at all times. Referencing OOC information, no matter how vague the wording is, is considered going OOC.

Never go out of character in the game unless you're told to by a moderator or admin.

If you are trying to talk about experience in a whitelisted job like law you should say you had experience when working in a different State or have been transferred.

Trying to talk about your IRL job/life this is classed as going OOC. Had a bad day at work? Talk about it in the Discord server NOT the RedM server.

Don't tell people to go make a ticket in Discord. Instead tell people to contact us by "sending the Government a telegram". Refer to Discord as the newspaper.
