# Official Meridian Rules

Rules are always subject to change as the community develops and grows. Announcements in the Discord will highlight any updates, but it is each player’s **responsibility** to stay informed and abide by them.

By joining our Discord and server, you acknowledge and agree to follow all of the rules below.

#### Rulebook Outline <a href="#rulebook-outline" id="rulebook-outline"></a>

1. **Terms of Service Rules**
   * External Terms of Service for platforms (Rockstar, FiveM, Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Rumble, etc.).
   * All players and content creators must follow these agreements in addition to our server rules.
2. **Official Discord Server Rules**
   * Guidelines for behavior, communication, and moderation in our Discord.
   * Includes respect, prohibited content, reports, and enforcement policies.
3. **Server Rules**
   * **Roleplay Definitions** - Glossary of RP terms and phrases.
   * **Community Roleplay Rules** - Core rules for conduct, behavior, and quality of roleplay.
   * **Rules of Roleplay** - Character creation, RP conduct, combat rules, forbidden RP.
   * **Organized Crime & Gang Rules** - Expectations for gangs, mafias, MCs, racing crews; turf, wars, and limitations.
   * **Business Rules** - Standards for owning and running businesses; applications, audits, and strike system.

#### Enforcement <a href="#enforcement" id="enforcement"></a>

* Rules are enforced by **Meridian Staff** with discretion to preserve fairness and immersion.
* Punishments range from warnings to permanent bans depending on severity.
* Discord and in-game rule violations may carry over between platforms.
* Ignorance of the rules is **not** an excuse.
